Pricing
What a screen check costs, what every workspace gets free, and when a pass is charged.
Greenroom is priced per screen check: one screen of your app, in one state, walked and judged with evidence. A pass that covers three changed screens is three screen checks. Prices are in USD and billed through Stripe; the same figures appear on the Usage & billing page of the dashboard.
Plans
| Plan | Price | Screen checks | Beyond the included checks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pay-as-you-go | $49 per month base | $1.50 per screen check, metered | Every check is metered |
| Team | $349 per month | 400 included per workspace | $1.00 per screen check |
| Scale | $999 per month | 1,500 included per workspace, across multiple apps | $1.00 per screen check |
Included checks pool at the workspace level, so every app under one GitHub App installation draws from the same allowance. The pool resets with each billing period.
Free allowance
Every workspace gets 20 free screen checks before a plan is required. The pass that uses the last free check still completes; the next pass is refused before it starts, and its GitHub Check reads Billing is required before this pass can run with a link to Usage & billing. Nothing is charged for a refused pass, and nothing is walked.
What is charged, and when
- Only judged screen checks are metered. A pass that stops before judgment (a request to a host outside your allowlist, a preview that never answered, an infrastructure failure on our side) records no screen checks and costs nothing.
- Screens carried forward unchanged from an earlier pass on the same pull request are not walked or charged again.
- Each judged check is reported to Stripe as one metered event, keyed to the check, so a retried step never charges twice.
- Pay-as-you-go invoices the monthly base plus the metered checks; Team and Scale invoice the plan price plus any overage, once per billing period. Invoices, the upcoming invoice and card details are in the Stripe billing portal, reached from the Usage & billing page.
Promotion codes
Checkout accepts promotion codes. Launch-partner codes are issued by Greenroom; enter the code on the Stripe checkout page and the discount shows on the summary before you confirm.
Changing or cancelling
Plans change from the Usage & billing page; card changes and cancellation are in the Stripe billing portal. A cancelled or past-due subscription stops new passes until it is active again; the usage record is kept.
